AOL Instant Messaging: Instant Messaging is a great way to break down the distance barrier between schools. Using IM teachers and students have the ability to communicate with others in a real-time forum either through texting or video conferencing.
Nice Net: This site provides teachers with a place to create a free class website. It is not fancy but it has some wonderful components such as a class discussion board. It also allows teachers to post their class's syllabus and assignments.
