All children ages 3-5 years, who are not eligible for Kindergarten enrollment, are eligible to receive 10 hours per week for 35 weeks of prekindergarten as part of Act 166- Vermont’s Universal Prekindergarten Law. This opportunity is paid for by the school district in your town of residence.
Children must attend a Pre-Qualified Prekindergarten Program.
- Qualified public school-based prekindergartens exist on-site at the elementary schools in Barnard and Reading
- Private qualified prekindergartens exist on-site at the elementary schools in Woodstock (Woodstock Nursery School) and Killington (P@K)
- In-district qualified private off-site programs: Rainbow Play School in Woodstock
